Piotr Baron Quintet - CD

Piotr Baron (1961) is a major figure of the middle generation of Polish jazz, and his quintet aroused great interest at the Prague Castle Riding Hall when they first played for the concert series on Feb. 29^th, 2012.  Baron’s jazz range is uncommonly extensive.  He first hit the scene in the late ‘70s playing with the veteran players mentioned above as well as with his own generation.  His current band features the talented younger generation (including his son, Adam Milwiw Baron, on trumpet), for whom he is both teacher, musical publicist and critic.
